granny apple cobbler.



the most perfect apple cobbler. ever.
(even better if someone else makes it and brings it to you while you are wrapped up in a blanket by a fire)

6 granny smith apples- cored, skinned, and sliced
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tB. flour
2 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
pinch of salt
pinch of nutmeg
1/2 lemon, juiced

topping
4 tB. butter
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
pinch of salt
pinch of ginger
2 eggs, beaten

 mix together apples, sugars, flour, cinnamon, vanilla, salt, nutmeg, and lemon juice. place mixture in a buttered 9x9 baking dish. mix together all topping ingredients in a separate bowl. spoon batter on top of apple mixture. cook on 375 for 40-45 minutes or until apples are soft and cooked through. serve with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel topping.
this is just as good re-heated! 
*can be made gf by using gf flour
