extra! a chalkboard gallery wall.

when putting together the dining room posts, i realized that we never shared one of our favorite projects at the old house. at the hub of the house, we painted a wall that connected our stairway to both the entry/living room and dining room with chalkboard paint...and then we covered it with all kinds of things. art and prints and records and more.
it was ever-changing and made the holiday decorating extra fun! we actually had this project done well before christmas, if you can believe that. we loved the contrast that this wall created amongst all the white trim, white built-ins, and light walls. most of the prints/artwork were made by us or gifted to us (we're very lucky to have some really artistic friends and family), but a few of the pieces were picked up at local craft markets. the huge ohio girl artwork is by kayla risch, a badass cincinnati designer, and the "there are always flowers..." screen print was made by marcy davy, whose work is so dreamy and adventurous. check them out, and maybe even get your chalk on! go live a little. it's not out of style, we promise.
